The minutiae of handwritten words weave together to form the drawn shape, shadow, and light of the figurative elements amongst an abstracted landscape of paint, thread to sewing the halved canvas together, and gel transfer. The narrative encoded into the black and white drawn sections of the are built from a long text that acts like a conversation with the image in impressionistic metaphor written by the artist and repeated throughout the piece. Certain flights of automatic writing embellish the repetition from time to time. Some of the same text is utilized in the gel transfer sections, rayed out from the center, and buried beneath thin layers of paint and grounded into the surface. An air of reining-in chaotic passages are present in the juxtaposition of formed and unformed components.
