This work is a private commissioned and simplified version of the Grigio Art Consulting and Kaiser Permanente piece. It distills the broad idea of connection and present presence through a simple image of a single elder female hand in the act of clasping a single elder male hand. Amid a background of raw wood, this act of touch is more focused than the original piece, seeks to evoking the experience so many have in the act of aging and comments on the dire need to feel loved among the impact of life’s cycles. The handwritten text used for the drawing technique takes these ideas in a metaphoric conversation, using the impressionistic imagery of seasons mixed with the emotion of their impact.
